Ethan Erhahon insists he’s not out for revenge against Livingston this afternoon after St Mirren’s gutting League Cup semi- final defeat last month.

But he admits it would be sweet to seal a top-six spot before hunting down the Lions after the split.

Erhahon played the full 90 minutes as the Buddies suffered a narrow 1- 0 defeat to David Martindale’s resurgent side at Hampden.

The teenager is now fully focused on another chance to make history with the Saints this season, with his sights firmly on being part of the first Saints side to make the top half of the table since the SPL was formed back in 1998.

He told Express Sport : “We need to put that League Cup game behind us and we’re focused on just getting the three points and getting in that top six - and then catching them.

“We’re looking up the way, we’re not looking down. We are hoping we can reel them in and then maybe even fourth as well. It would be nice to climb up the table.

“It would be a huge achievement to make the top six. We know what the club represents to the fans and to the town. If we were to get top six that would mean a lot to everyone within the club, the board and the supporters.

“We know getting the top six be massive and we’re doing our utmost to get there.

“The gaffer said to me - imagine being 19 and being part of the team that made it happen after 30-odd years.

“Hopefully we’ll do that this season and even people looking from without the club would see that and see it’s a great achievement.”

Erhahon has enjoyed a breakthrough season with St Mirren this season, becoming a firm fixture at the heart of the club’s midfield despite his tender years.

He believes he has matured massively thanks to expert advice from his gaffer Jim Goodwin, who played the same position as the youngster for the Buddies.

Erhahon explained: “It’s helped
