Thieves fail to raid bedroom store

Police are investigating after crooks tried to break-in to a bed showroom.

Staff at the shop in Kelvin Avenue in the Hillington area found the lock had been tampered with.

They realised something was wrong when they went to start their shift on Tuesday morning.

Nothing had been stolen but police are keen to trace those responsible.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “If you saw anything suspicious in the area of Kelvin Avenue in the Hillington Industrial Estate over night between Monday and Tuesday, we would like to hear from you.”
