Sex attack on boy, 13, denied

Prosecutors P claim Scott Halbert, Ha 27, also made sexual remarks rem to the youngster, who wh cannot be identified - and pursued him and his two teenage friends in the town’s High Street.

When the case called at Paisley Sheriff Court this week, Halbert was not present for the hearing.

His defence agent Jonathan Manson confirmed his client, from Ferguslie Park, Paisley, is denying the charges against him.

He also asked that Halbert’s bail be continued.

Halbert is accused of sexually assaulting the 13- year- old by placing his hands on his private parts and making sexual comments to the boy.

He is also accused of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner by pursuing the teen and two other other teenage boys in High Street and repeatedly shouting at them on April 13, 2019.

A trial has been set down for July 28, with a pre- trial hearing fixed for June 30.
