People living with cancer and their loved ones are being reminded about the emotional and practical support available on their doorsteps.

Renfrewshi­re’s MacMillan Improving the Cancer Journey (ICJ) service offers a wealth of support, from an empathetic chat to practical help with finance, housing and more.

Compassion­ate advisors Caroline Kyle Chittick and Karen Spencer are experience­d in accessing tailored support to ensure the needs of each person and their families are met.

A spokesman for Renfrewshi­re Council said:“There are lots of services and support on offer to help you and your loved ones following a cancer diagnosis.

“But knowing where to turn or start seeking help can be daunting. Our MacMillan ICJ team is here to help.

“Caroline and Karen are experience­d in helping people from all walks of life understand the many supports available and can link you with the services and resources you need to make a real difference during this difficult time.

“ICJ is a free service that’s here for you whenever and however you need it.”
