Paisley is as warm as Barcelona
Buddies made the most of the scorching weather yesterday as Paisley enjoyed temperat u r e s which rivalled Barcelona.
The sun was shining across Renfrewshire as people flocked to Barshaw Park to soak up some rays as temperatures hit highs of 18ºC.
And the warmer weather is here to stay for at least a few a more days, with the mercury predicted to hit 15ºC throughout the weekend before dropping to 10ºC later in the week.
Some clouds are expected to make an appearance in the blue skies, but the rain looks set to stay away for most of next week.
The country has been hotting up in recent days, with the chills of just a few weeks ago already a distant memory , and temperatures are expected to continue to rise.
The summer weather is also expected to return in May, and Buddies could be set to enjoy 25 º C scorchers - with a 500 mile-wide heat plume bringing warm weather.
A Met Office forecaster said: “On Saturday, there will perhaps be some early low cloud and a frost in places, but soon clearing and then it will be dry and bright with light winds and sunny spells, though cloudier and a little cooler.
“From Sunday to Tuesday, it will be mainly dry with bright or sunny spells on Sunday and will get cloudier on Monday with showers, though mostly dry.
“After some rain on Tuesday, most wi l l be fine and dry to the weekend, with high pressure dominating and temperatures probably warming slightly by the weekend.
“Plenty of sunny spells are expected into May, with the possibility of warmer spells.”
