Lout lost the plot with his ex-partner

-

A man who lost the plot and refused to leave his expartner’s home will have to wait to find out his fate.

Daniel Ferguson appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court yesterday and admitted to behaving in a threatening and abusive manner towards his ex Michelle O’Reilly on January 17 last year.

O’Reilly, now of Saltcoats, North Ayrshire, pled guilty to shouting, swearing, acting in an aggressive manner towards her within a flat on Albion Street, Paisley.

He also admitted struggling with her and refusing to leave the property when she asked him to.

Ferguson’s lawyer Charlie McCusker told the court the pair had separated in 2019 prior to the incident.

He said: “It was an argument between them at the time and they both accept that.

“He has not offended since then and he is now in a stable relationship.”

Sheriff David Pender adjourned the case until next month in order for a Criminal Justice Social Work report to be obtained.

Addressing Ferguson, 42, he said: “Under the circumstances, I think the court should have more information regarding this.”

Ferguson will return to court for sentencing on May 24.
