Ticket checks return

Buddies are reminded to ensure they have a ticket when travelling on trains as inspections returned yesterday.

ScotRail announced last week checks on tickets would resume from April 26 after almost a year.

Rail bosses had halted inspections on trains due to the Covid-19 pandemic. ScotRail says the move is the “latest step towards a level of normality for customers”.

Customers should buy a ticket in advance of travel via the ScotRail app, website, or station facilities .

All customers must hold a valid ticket before boarding a train.
