Get ready to make a splash again as pools set to reopen

A council gym is back in action, with pools following on next week.

Barrhead Foundry was reopened by East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure on Monday.

The swimming pool there and at Neilston Leisure Centre will open this coming Monday, May 3.

Outdoor sports classes for children are available to book online now, with classes starting on May 4.

Swimming lessons will also commence in the coming weeks.

East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure’s chief executive Anthony McReavy said:“We’re delighted to reopen our doors and welcome new and familiar faces alike to our venues.

“The safety and well-being of our customers and staff continues to be our priority and social distancing and
