Home repairs resume

-

People living in Renfrewshire Council-owned homes can now have non urgent repairs carried out in their properties.

The social landlord has been prevented from completing repairs due to Covid- 19 restrictions over much of the past year, with only an emergency service available to those in need.

But it has vowed to work through the backlog now that trades people are allowed in people’s homes.

The housing repairs service has a record of all repairs reported in the past 12 months and is working through these, with the oldest repairs prioritised and being carried out first.

Staff have urged all those who have already reported the problem to remain patient, and state they will contact householders as soon as an appointment becomes available.

People can rearrange an appointment or report a repair by calling 0300 300 0300, emailing repairs@ renfrewshire. gov. uk or contacting staff through the Ren Repairs app.
