Groups urged to apply for windfarm cash

Windfarm cash is available for new community groups in Neilston.

The Neilston Windfarm Legacy was started four years ago with £2 million after turbines started producing on the surrounding hills.

To qualify, projects must benefit people who live in the G83 3 postcode area and be run by volunteers.

June Jones, NWL secretary, said:“The grants are not for a pre-determined amount but applicants should submit detailed costings for their idea on the application form.”
