Youngsters are digital champs
Pupils at a Paisley school have proved they are internet savvy with two new awards.
St Paul’s Primary in Foxbar has won the prestigious Digital Schools award and a special Cyber Resilience and Internet Safety badge.
The awards recognise the school’s efforts to arm pupils with the knowledge needed to keep safe while online.
Pupils were able to tell the award assessors the risks they might come across online and what they would do about it if confronted with those.
Teacher Michaela
McGettigan says that online wellbeing forms part of the school’s overall ethos of health and wellbeing.
She said:“Technology is at the forefront of everything we do at St Paul’s and even more so during these unprecedented times.
“Getting these awards coming out of second lockdown was a real achievement for us.”
St Paul’s is the first school in Renfrewshire to be recognised for its online resilience and safety work with pupils.
