Attack case goes to trial

A man allegedly attacked his partner at a property in Paisley.

Kieran McGinley, 31, is accused of assaulting Jayden Dalton on April 16.

P ro s e c u t o r s claim McGinley punched Ms Dalton on the head, seized hold of her by her hair, pulled her to the ground, and repeatedly kicked her on the body.

He is also accused of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner in that he shouted, swore and uttered threats of violence.

McGinley, of Lochfield Road, Paisley is denying both charges against him.

He was handed bail with special conditions that he does not approach or contact Ms Dalton.

A trial has been set for July 12 with a pre- trial hearing fixed for June 25.
