Cannabis plants removed from unit

-

Specialist police officers have begun the task of removing an estimated 1,000 mature cannabis plants from an empty commercial building.

Police armed with a warrant cut their way into the Rowan Street unit in Paisley’s southside on Tuesday morning.

They found a cannabis farm worth up to £600,000.

A man aged 47 and a 16-year-old boy appeared in private at Paisley Sheriff Court yesterday in connection with the raid.

Both accused, of no fixed address, made no plea, and were remanded in custody.

The case has been continued.
