C l yd e Judo Club celebrated their return to action by swiftly moving into a new Dojo.

The club made a welcome return to action last week, with restrictions lifted that finally allowed their under-18s to get back on the tatami.

Located in Paisley’s Clark Street, youngsters took to the mat for the first time in months on a night that also saw the club celebrate their ten- year anniversary.

Head coach Susan Wright said: “Several new players took to the tatami for the first time, joining a full house of returning members, many of whom commented through out the night their delight at returning to the mat.

“It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm in the room, and great to be back.”

At the end of the session, Ronnie Saez, CEO of JudoScotland, chair of the British Judo Association, 6th Dan and a special friend to the club, made a presentation to Wright.

He commended the coaching team on its achievements and presented a certificate commemorating the club’s tenyear anniversary, a landmark achieved by the club in 2019.
