Trains hit by strike

Passengers are being advised of disruption to trains tomorrow caused by ongoing strike action.

A number of routes will have the majority of their services cancelled.

The RMT union is in dispute with ScotRail over overtime payments and strike action is planned for at least the next five Sundays.

Some ScotRail managers and support staff will be stepping in to cover .

The Glasgow to Ayr line, which stops at Paisley Gilmour St reet and Johnstone, will run hourly from 9am till 7pm, The Glasgow to Largs route, which stops at Paisley Gilmour Strert, Johnstone, Milliken Park, Howwood and Lochwinnoc­h will run from 9.40am till 7.40pm, with stops every hour.

The Glasgow to Wemyss Bay line with stops at Hillington East, Paisley Gilmour St and Bishopton, will run hourly from 8.50am till 6.50pm and the Glasgow to Gourock route, with stops at Hillington West, Paisley Gilmour St, Paisley Street James, Bishopton and Langbank, will run hourly from 9.20am till 7.20pm. Phil Campbell, of ScotRail, said: “We will do everything we can to minimise impact.”
