New Bookbug activity packs

-

Budding readers are being urged to celebrate Bookbug week with a new activity pack.

The week-long festival of reading called Bookbug’s Big Bash will this year celebrate water-based tales, from seaside books to fishy books and drop-them-in-the-bath-books.

People who register to take part in the online events from May 17 to 23 will be able to collect a free umbrella garden activity pack from local libraries across Renfrewshire.

The free packs will be available from next

Monday while a video showing youngsters how to complete the activities is also available on the Renfrewshire Leisure social media pages.

It will offer youngsters the chance to plant bee and butterfly seeds and bulbs to bring colour and wildlife to their outdoor space.

Packs, which are limited to one per household, are aimed at pre school children and families.
