A moon and wee stars
The youngsters of Arkleston Primary proved they look outward and not inward.
They didn’t just learn about the month-long Ramadan fasting.
They also made their own crescent moon and star, the symbol of Islam.
The school said: “Base 2 have enjoyed learning about Ramadan and Islam this afternoon.
“We learned that throughout Ramadan Muslims fast and it ends with celebration of Eid.
“We also learned that we have the right to our religion.”
During Ramadan, followers must fast from dawn until sunset.
