Staff pound the pavements

-

Shopping mall staff are stepping up to help raise money for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.

Braehead employees have been taking part in Lap the Map, a challenge between the Glasgow charity and Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity supporters to virtually walk the 76,000 kilometre coastline of Europe.

The 23 members of staff – who are part of #TeamGlasgow – have been out pounding the pavements this month and collecting sponsorship on their JustGiving page.

So far, the team has smashed its £500 fundraising target, with £680 already raised.

Braehead’s community development manager, Lydia Brown, said:“The Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity is close to our hearts and we have worked with them for years to support their fundraising efforts.

“And this year our boots are definitely made for walking.

“The charity raises money to make sure every baby, child and young person treated at Scotland’s largest children’s hospital receives the extra special care they deserve.”
