Duo to face drugs charges after raid

Two men have been arrested after cops allegedly seized drugs from their Linwood homes.

Officers from the Violence Reduction Unit raided flats in Cowal Drive at around 9am on Tuesday.

A 40-year-old was arrested and charged with alleged drug offences after herbal cannabis, cocaine and cash were discovered.

The drugs had an estimated street value of around £2,500.

A second man aged, 55, was also arrested and charged with alleged drug offences after herbal cannabis and a four figure sum of cash were found in a flat.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said:“We can confirm two men aged 40 and 55 have been arrested and charged with alleged drug offences following a search of properties in Cowal Drive, Linwood on Tuesday.

“A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
