St Mirren fought back from behind to bag a point on a sensational, high-scoring final away trip of the season.

Kilmarnock were desperate for a win to boost their Premiership survival hopes and looked set for all three points thanks to Kyle Lafferty’s clinical brace.

Jamie McGrath’s 17th strike of the season gave the Buddies hope, before an incredible final fifteen minutes saw three goals shared between the sides.

Substitute Cammy MacPherson’s screamer levelled the match, with Greg Kiltie firing the Ayrshire side back ahead just three minutes later.

The action was far from over, with fellow sub Collin Quaner slotting home St Mirren’s third before keeper Jak Alnwick twice came to the rescue at the death to ensure the Buddies returned to Paisley with a point.

The draw keeps the Saints in with a shout of seventh place, with the club now sitting just a point behind Motherwell heading into the final weekend of the season.

Jim Goodwin made four changes from the Buddies’ gutting Scottish Cup exit last Sunday, with experienced head Ryan Flynn and youngsters Daniel Finlayson and Jay Henderson making the reshuffled starting XI.
