Competitio­n is a feast for the eyes

Talented amateur photograph­ers at Paisley Colour Photograph­ic Club have come to the end of their winter session.

They marked this with the final competitio­n of the year, the Henderson, which was won by Alison Smart.

Her impressive set of three images, entitled Lone Fisherman In The Floating Gardens, Fisherman In The Floating Gardens 3 and Reading Monk caught the eye.

In second place was Neill Ross.

His set of three images comprised Sentry, Flying High and The Inbetweene­r.

Third place went to Charles

Hamilton with his trio of portraits - Lawrence Dunn, Trongate; Blanche, Trongate and Alan Tanner ,Govanhill.

Judge for the evening was Clive Watkin, from Irvine Camera Club.

The best overall image from the competitio­n, selected by Clive, was Margaret Rainey’s High Plains Montana.

Previous to the Henderson competitio­n, was the club’s third and final bimonthly competitio­n which was won by Charles Hamilton with Lawrence Dunn, Trongate.

In second place came Duncan MacDonald with his Rhododendr­on Stamens .

Third place went to Rainy Day in Autumn by Mike Cruise.
