No deal for Nick?

-

St Mirren youngster Nick McAllister is set to leave the club this summer.

That’s according to Dumbarton manager Jim Duffy, who has been impressed with the midfielder since he joined on loan in March.

The 20 year old’s made 14 appearances for the Sons so far, including turning out in their semi-final playoff win over Stranraer, ahead of next week’s huge clashes with Edinburgh City.

Duffy has been delighted with McAllister’s performances and believes there’ll be several Championship clubs looking to bag his signature should he leave the Buddies over the summer.

Duffy said:“Nick’s been outstanding for us. He’s a terrific boy.

“I’ve been delighted with all the boys who have come in on loan, they’re as committed as anyone who is signed for the club.

“Nick has been a terrific signing for us though and I think there will be a few clubs looking at him, because I’m led to believe he’s not getting a new contract at St Mirren.”
