Walk to School week
Youngsters in Renfrewshire are being encouraged to take part in Walk to School Week to help encourage children to be active.
The annual celebration - which is run by Living Streets - encourages pupils to travel sustainably to school every day for one week
Walking has so many benefits from physical to mental wellbeing; aiding concentration and creativity and creating safer, less polluted and more welcoming streets.
All that makes for a happy, healthy child set up for success in and out of the classroom.
The current Walk to School week is taking place this week until May 21, and activity packs are now available for the week beginning June 7.
Eack pack contains individual activity diaries, daily stickers and end of week pupil rewards , reinforcing the benefits and keeping children engaged.
