Gardens open for charity
Buddies who enjoy exploring beautiful gardens can head along to Bridge of Weir to enjoy a stunning private garden sprawling 20 acres to raise money for charity.
Taking place on May 30 from 2pm until 5pm, the gardens of Mr and Mrs Maclean will be open to the public as part of the Scottish Gardens Scheme.
Members of the public can visit for a fee of £4, with the money donated to Marie Curie.
The sprawling gardens are filled with long-established rhododendrons, woodland with good bluebells, young arboretum and lawn gardens in a lovely landscaped setting.
To get there, visitors should take the B786 Kilmacolm/ Lochwinnoch road.
From Bridge of Weir take the Torr Road until you get to the B786. Turn right and after about 100 yards, the garden entrance is on the right. About three-and-a-half miles from Kilmacolm and five-and-ahalf miles from Lochwinnoch on the B786.
