New Belfast flight route to launch

-

Another new travel route is to be launched from Glasgow Airport as confidence in air travel continues to grow.

Aer Lingus will start to run daily flights from the Paisley transport hub to Belfast City Airport on July 1.

The route will see 19 flights between the two destinations every week by August.

Stobart Air, which runs Aer Lingus, says all flights will operate in line with covid protocols.

Andy Jolly, managing director of Stobart Air, said:“In light of the successful Covid-19 vaccination rollout allowing air travel to increase safely, we are pleased to add this new route from Glasgow to Belfast to our route network, which will cater to both business and leisure travellers with direct, convenient, and cost-effective flights. We look forward to welcoming our staff and customers onboard this new route.”

Stobart Air has implemented enhanced health and safety measures to protect passengers, including added aircraft cleaning, mandatory face coverings and boarding, disembarkation, and in-flight procedures to reduce crew and passenger interaction.
