Skipper Joe pens new deal
St Mirren skipper Joe Shaughnessy has penned a new deal that will keep him at the SMISA Arena until 2023.
The Irish defender joined up with the Saints in July last year and has now decided his future lies in the black and white.
Since his arrival he has become gaffer Jim Goodwin’s chief on-field lieutenant and was named club captain in January.
He featured 43 times in his debut season as the club finished in its highest topflight position since 1989.
