Parents urged to get tested for covid

-

Families with children attending school in Glenburn and Foxbar have been urged to get a Covid-19 test.

Letters urging parents and carers to book an appointment at the temporary testing facility at Glenburn Community Centre were issued yesterday.

It comes as cases of Covid- 19 have increased rapidly across the local authority area.

The letter was issued to parents of children attending nine primary schools and early years centres in the two communities.

Parents whose children attend Gleniffer High School - where children are encouraged to complete at home testing twice weekly - are also being encouraged to take part.

The new mobile unit in Glenburn opened on Sunday and will remain open for at least one week.

It is offering the most reliable PCR tests which provide results within 48 hours. Tests can be booked between 9.30am and 6pm.
