Branch out with hope messages

-

A Renfrewshire mental health charity is looking for messages of hope to take root and grow as it launches a new initiative to promote positivity.

RAMH’s Hope Tree has been set up at its Paisley REstore shop in the town’s Causeyside Street.

The idea is for Buddies to highlight what they are hopeful about after a year like no other.

The messages will be hung in the RAMH shop for others to see and be inspired by.

It comes during Mental Health Awareness Week, which aims to promote better awareness to help reduce the stigma around mental ill health.

Fiona Mccrae, RAMH’s self-management manager, says the tree is a way of inviting people in and to share their aspirations and hopes for the future.

She said: “RAMH launched our Hope Tree in conjunction with Mental Health Awareness Week.

“The Hope Tree is located in our REstore shop, where the old Mothercare was in Paisley.

“It holds messages of optimism for the future from the local community.”

REstore is currently open Wednesday to Friday, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm.

For anyone who can’t make it in to REStore, RAMH can send out tags in stamped addressed envelopes so they can be added. Alternatively notes can be sent to RAMH’s social media pages.
