Police appeal after van stolen

Police are appealing for witnesses after a van was stolen from an industrial estate.

The Ford Transit was nicked between 3am on Saturday and 4am on Monday, police said.

It’s understood the van’s 23-year-old owner parked it in Kelvin Avenue, Hillington. However, he returned two days later to find it missing.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “If you saw anything suspicious in the Hillington area between the early hours of Saturday and Monday then we would like to hear from you.

“The registration number is EJ1 3UES.

“If you see the vehicle, please contact police.”
