Where to go for vaccine info

-

People are being urged to visit NHS inform to make sure they have the right information regarding their vaccine appointments.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has issued advice on where to get information in relation to the jabs after a number of people called the incorrect number to enquire about their second dose.

People are now being advised to go to NHS inform to find out about their second vaccine appointment.

NHSGGC also said work is ongoing to reduce the wait for the second dose of the

Covid-19 vaccine from 12 to eight weeks.

People who are aged 30 and over and have not had their first appointment should call the National Helpline on 0800 030 8013, while those aged between 18 and 29 years, can register to receive their vaccine by visiting register.vacs.nhs.scot

An NHSGGC spokesperson said: “Remember, getting the vaccine is the best way to help beat the virus and get the country back to normal, so we would strongly encourage everyone who receives an invitation to go along to their appointment, or if you are aged between 18 and 29 to register for your first dose.”
