Take on a 10k and save a life
Folk from across Renfrewshire are being urged to take part in a charity walking challenge.
Off the Beatson Track 10k is going virtual on June 12 to 13.
Last year, more than 1,000 people took part in the first ever virtual event for the cancer charity and it’s hoped this year even more folk will sign up.
Beatson Cancer Charity’s community fundraising team has decided to host another challenge to prioritise the health and safety of the community, given the current circumstances surrounding Covid-19.
Maisie McCormick, community fundraising manager at the charity, said:
“It has been a very difficult year and, as we begin to open up and come together again, it is important to have goals.
We’re asking people across Glasgow and the west to get involved with our annual walking event and set their own goals, be they fundraising, distance covered, pics snapped or anything else you can think of.”
It’s £15 per person to register and kids under 12 go free.
At the end of the walk everyone will receive a medal, T-shirt and the knowledge that they have funded life-saving cancer care.
