You just can’t beat live music

Kids are thrilled to be back at lessons

- ALISON RENNIE

Children are back making marvellous music in person at the popular Diane Mitchell School of Music.

The school, on Brick Lane in the town, continued during lockdown offering virtual music and singing lessons.

But Diane said nothing compares to having the children back in the school and seeing them and their parents again.

“We’re open again for one-toone lessons, classes and band practise as well as for rehearsals,” she said.

“The numbers are still limited and covid measures are in place. “It’s great to see everyone again. “The children are all delighted to be back and the parents are delighted to have them back.

“We did run classes online but that didn’t suit everyone.

“Nothing beats being back in person and getting the interaction with the children.

“We’ve had very positive feedback since we reopened last month. It’s been great to be back.”

Diane plans to run a summer school with different themes each week for all different ages.
