Three classes isolating
Children in three classes at a primary school are selfisolating at home after a coronavirus outbreak.
Two of the three classes at Cross Arthurlie Primary, Barrhead, will return to school at the start of the week.
A spokesman for East Renfrewshire Council said: “Following notification of positive tests linked to Cross Arthurlie, Eaglesham and Mearns primaries, we made colleagues at Public Health aware and are following all necessary procedures, including classes at each school now self-isolating at home as a precaution.
“Parents have been informed of the measures we are taking and home learning provision is being put in place to support these pupils.”
Health bosses at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde confirmed all other pupils not identified as close contacts were safe to attend as normal.
