Veterans champions are hopping on their bikes to bolster their fitness and the planet.

Erskine employees are cycling to work after the organisation launched its Cycle2Work Scheme.

It allows staff to choose the bike of their choice, a helmet and waterproofs, offering the opportunity to pay the costs back gradually as opposed to in one lump sum.

Promoting healthier and greener journeys to work, the scheme was introduced in 2017 and currently has 26 employees cycling to the Bishopton base.

Marking the achievement during Bike Week 2021, Karen Murphy,HR manager at Erskine said: “During lockdown in 2020, 11 employees joined the Cycle2Work Scheme which has been great. Having cycled to work, staff feel energised, alert and ready to face the working day.”

The Cycle2Work Scheme is just one of the many environmental measures in place at Erskine.

This includes installing solar panels on new buildings, and changing to hybrid vehicles.
