Outdoor spaces wanted for contest

-

Aldi has launched AldiFresco - a nationwide search for the UK’s best alfresco area.

With lockdown restrictions eased, making people more social animals, new research from Aldi reveals that 32 million Brits have either revamped or plan to revamp their outdoor space this year.

The supermarket – which has branches in Paisley - is calling on the nation’s most creative al fresco area adorners to come forward and showcase their outdoor havens – whether it’s a lavish setup, built-in BBQ beauty or minimal and sophisticated - and will award the winning entry a year’s supply of shopping vouchers.

Shelley and Ashley Sargeant, from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, have been chosen by Aldi to judge the Aldi-Fresco entries.

The couple received thousands of comments and likes on Facebook after posting pictures showing how they totally transformed their rear garden into a beautiful space by using just timber from discarded pallets.

Budding DIY aficionados keen to be in with a chance of winning a year’s supply of Aldi shopping vouchers worth over £ 1,000, should visit Aldi’s Facebook page or Twitter page and simply share a picture of their renovated backyard using the hashtag #RaisingTheBarbeque.

Entries close on June 23.
