Hundreds flock for drop-in vaccine
Grateful Barrhead folk got their vaccine yesterday at the town’s first drop-in centre.
The East Renfrewshire-run Foundry was used for the first time for people without appointments.
An orderly queue snaked outside as hundreds of people rolled up their sleeves for the jag.
The 40-somethings were either first dosers or people who had waited more than ten weeks for a second AstraZeneca jab.
The all-day session was run by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Johnstone Town Hall and Renfrew Leisure centre are open today from 9am to 3pm on the same basis.
