Busking it big in Barrhead
The centre of Barrhead will be buzzing with the sound of live music today.
The Barrhead Busking Festival will provide a live music backdrop to shopping.
It’s being staged across three street spots and will run for four hours.
Andy Dunlop of All About Barrhead has organised the event as a possible curtainraiser for more street activity across the summer.
He said: “We want to bring a little fun back to Barrhead following all we have experienced over the past year. We’re kicking this off with the Barrhead Busking Festival which will feature a variety of musicians.
“I hope this brings a little smile to faces as they are out and about in town.”
Buskers will be belting out strum- thing good outside ASDA, Tesco and The Centre at The Cross.
At ASDA Erin Ponsonby opens at noon, then Jonny Kirwan then Conor Ferraiolo.
At Tesco its Travelling Jukebox and Maryjane from noon .
