Pervert who sent naked selfies to girl he thought was 14 was snared by paedophile hunters group

- CARLA TALBOT

A sick paedophile was snared by cops after sending vile messages and explicit photos of himself to what he thought was a 14-year-old girl.

Beast Stewart Henderson repeatedly messaged a woman - who is part of a paedophile hunters group - as he thought she was a teen named Daniella.

Over the course of just six days, Henderson, 53, sent ‘Daniella’ a catalogue of disgusting messages on Facebook asking her to send him her underwear and indecent pictures of herself.

The vile pervert repeatedly asked the ‘youngster’ if she wanted him and even sent pictures of his genitals to her during their communication in August last year.

Henderson, from Paisley, appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court where it was heard he first made contact on August 30 when he tried to video call ‘Daniella’ before sending the first message asking her ‘do you want me?’

The profile was being operated by an adult decoy working with the Elite Solo Decoys group, based in England.

Procurator fiscal depute Ed Sheeran told the court: “The group patrols the internet for adults who seek to speak to children for the purposes of sexual gratification.

“The profile responded to the message saying ‘ what do you mean?’ and the accused replied ‘to make love, you want me’.

“The profile then told the accused she was only 14 years old, to which Henderson then replied ‘I love you’ and asked if he could be her boyfriend.

“He repeatedly told her he loved her and stated ‘I will wait until you are 16 before we get into sleeping together’.

“There was highly sexualised conversations in which the accused sent messages such as ‘you’re my girlfriend’ and ‘if I was with you now would you sleep with me?’”

Henderson continued to hound the girl with inappropriate messages in which he acknowledged he could go to jail, but he then proceeded to send her pictures of his genitals and ask her to send him her underwear and touch herself inappropriately.

Mr Sheeran added: “He told her he would buy her clothes and that she could live with him.

“He sent her another picture of his genitals and provided ‘Daniella’ with his name and address.”

Following this, members of the group travelled to Barrhead - where Henderson was living at the time - and snared him at his home.

The ‘sting’ was live streamed on Facebook and, the court heard, he stated: “Yeah, I know. It won’t happen again.”

And, when police officers arrived at his home to investigate on September 5, they were able to identify the wallpaper in his bedroom as the same wallpaper from the naked selfies he’d sent.

Henderson admitted sending messages to what he believed to be a child, between the ages of 13 and 16, “for the purposes of obtaining sexual gratification”.

He admitted causing alarm, distress and humiliation to her by attempting to get her to look at sexual images and intentionally attempting to cause her to participate in sexual activity by sending her messages of an indecent and sexual nature.

The charge against Henderson also stated he sent her indecent images of himself and tried to induce the girl to engage in sexual intercourse with him.

Sheriff Bruce Erroch called for background reports to be prepared ahead of sentencing placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register until he returns to court next month.
