‘Terrifying’ attack

A man was rushed to hospital after a “terrifying” weapon attack in Paisley.

The 42-year-old victim was targeted in West Buchanan Place between 1am and 3am on Thursday.

He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, where he received treatment for his injuries, before being released.

The attacker is described as male and wearing all black clothing.

Detective Constable Ashley O’Neill, from Paisley CID, said: “Thankfully, the man’s injuries were not life threatening, but this has been a terrifying incident.
