Get involved in charity workshops

-

A number of community workshops are taking place at a Paisley charity this month - and people are being encouraged to sign up and take part.

The Star Project has organised a selection of engaging activities for people to enjoy to help improve mental health and well-being.

Taking place on Thursday is a creative workshop called Invisible Threads.

The workshop will discuss community resilience during the Covid-19 crisis and will encourage people to use different materials to make vision boards highlighting the‘invisible threads’ which kept people connected during the lockdowns.

The workshop will take place online on Thursday and again on June 24, from 4pm until 6pm.

The Wallace Street organisation is also launching apART Project at the end of June, with the inspiring workshops set to continue throughout the year before finishing with an impressive exhibition.

The year-long project hopes to help people get connected after lockdown.

Posting on Facebook, The Star Project said: “We’re thrilled to be working with the inspiring artist, Rachel Mimiec, as we explore our wellbeing through a series of seasonally themed creative and therapeutic workshops.

“The project will run through summer, autumn and winter, with an exhibition of our work in spring 2022.

“Let’s reconnect with ourselves, each other and the seasons with a feast for the senses.”
