- \WEST CHURCH \PAISLEY ABBEY

The service tomorrow will be led by our reader, Mary Jane Bird, at the usual time of 11am.

The following Sunday, October 24, there will be a rededicati­on service for the 8th Paisley Company Boy’s Brigade.

At this service, five young men of the company section will be presented with their President’s Badge and Certificat­e.

This is the second highest award in the Boys Brigade and we congratula­te them on gaining this award. \PAISLEY

NORTH

This week, Rev Stuart Davidson will lead worship with Linnie Henry and Barbara Perrie.

This will concentrat­e on safeguardi­ng matters.

Next week, Stuart will lead a Songs of Praise using hymns suggested by members of the congregati­on. \PAISLEY

SOUTH CHURCH We offer a warm welcome to all, irrespecti­ve of background, age, race, gender, sexuality, (dis)ability.

Tomorrow, we celebrate the Baptism of Cindy Cherry Orr.

Following government and church guidance, we welcome children of all ages to our church

Normal Covid-19 restrictio­ns are in place to ensure everyone’s safety and names are taken at the door for Track and Trace.

The morning service at 11am will be conducted by the Rev Jim Gibson and the choir will sing the Kyrie Eleison (Howells), the Te Deum (Howells) and the Anthem, Mine Eyes for Beauty Pine.

For the first time since lockdown was introduced, Choral Evensong will resume in the Abbey at 4pm and the choir will sing Responses (Smith of Durham), Psalm 122, Canticles – Gibbons (Short Service) and the Anthem O Clap your hands (Gibbons).

All are welcome at one or other, or both these services.

The abbey shop and the abbey itself are open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10.30am until 2.30pm and the St Mirin Chapel is available for private prayers during these hours. All covid restrictio­n are still being maintained.
