Police have been out and about in Foxbar as part of efforts to crack down on antisocial behaviour.

Community police officers attended Gleniffer High School with the mounted unit as part of the latest community engagement campaign.

Their efforts come following a spate of anti-social behaviour incidents in recent months that have caused concern among residents.

Officers spent the day patrolling the community, speaking with staff at the school and distributing Crimestoppers leaflets to residents as part of the ongoing campaign.

Inspector Laura Hamill, of Paisley’s community policing team, said officers are engaging with residents to address any concerns.

The team will continue to carry out increased patrols in the area and speak with youngsters in a bid to deter antisocial incidents.

She said: “There has been an ongoing issue with anti-social behaviour in the area in recent months and we are carrying out a number of community engagement initiatives to tackle this.

“Officers from the community policing team are regularly monitoring the situation with increased patrols of the area, as well as carrying out proactive work with Gleniffer High School and local residents.
