Granny is a Tik Tok star

- SARAH VESTY

A hilarious video clip has caught the moment a ‘mortified’gran was left speechless by a pair of frisky monkeys.

Cindy McIntyre had been enjoying a day out at Blair Drummond Safari Park, near Stirling, when she came across the amorous duo on Saturday afternoon.

The 91-year-old’s reaction was caught on camera by grandson John Kennedy, who initially pointed out a rather large backside on one of the apes.

Despite being just feet away from their car, gran-of-six Cindy seemed to be unable to see it, repeatedly asking “where?”.

But she soon spotted the Barbary macaque after it was mounted from behind by a male monkey.

Cindy then shouts:“Oh that yin! Oh my God.”

The granny, from Kilbirnie, has now become somewhat of a TikTok star after social media users were left in stitches by her reaction.

One wrote:“The woman was too stunned to speak.”

A second added:“Cindy is speechless. God I love her.”

While a third posted: “No looking... it’s monkey business.”

John, 31, explained that he began sharing clips of his elderly relative on social media during lockdown with the latest capturing the hearts of thousands.

He said:“Somebody said a while ago that I should put a video of my granny on TikTok and then it became a lockdown thing.

“Obviously she wasn’t allowed out much and people just kind of fell in love with her.

“My mum and I like to take her for days out every Saturday and we get bored going to the same places.

“So we decided to go to the safari park and went through the drive-thru with the monkeys.

“They were jumping all over people’s cars and obviously that one walked in front of us and it had a massive bum.

“Then its‘friend’ appeared and they became better friends.

“She must’ve been mortified.”

The hospitality worker, from Paisley, added: “Everyone at my work’s talking about it but I don’t think my granny knows much about the reaction.

“Since this TikTok thing, people know who she is.

“She goes to Marks and Spencers and people will come up to her saying they recognise her from TikTok.”
