Award recognitio­n for housing specialist

A Paisley housing specialist and auctioneer has been shortliste­d for a prestigiou­s award.

John Loudon of Auction House Scotland has been selected as a finalist in the special recognitio­n award at the 13th Scottish Empty Homes Awards.

The awards are the centrepiec­e of the annual Scottish Empty Homes Conference in Glasgow today.

The conference has the theme of ‘Learning from the Past – Visions for the Future’and will consider the successes in empty homes work to date and look to the future of its role in addressing Scotland’s housing issues.

An experience­d empty homes profession­al, John has helped many owners though the process of selling their empty home to get it back into use and over the last eight years has helped return more than 65 empty properties back into use through sale by auction.

Among his clients and throughout the industry, John has a well-deserved reputation for helping his clients overcome issues on their journeys to resolve their difficulti­es.

He is also passionate about helping young people and known for his patience and determinat­ion in the course of his job.

The Scottish Empty Homes Partnershi­p has enjoyed working with John for many years, thanks him for his contributi­on to empty homes work in Scotland and wishes him, and all finalists, the best of luck for the awards.
