Paisley care home accolade
A Renfrewshire care home has been ranked as one of the top 20 in Scotland.
Mosswood Care Home in Paisley has been chosen by residents and their families as one of the top 20 care homes in the country.
There are 991 homes in Scotland, with the top 20 receiving an award from the UK’s leading reviews guide to care homes, carehome.co.uk.
The award is based on reviews of the care home written by their residents, as well as their friends and relatives.
Hannah Spreckley, marketing executive at Mosswood Care Home, thanked the home’s staff for their dedication, which she believes helped the home gain the award.
She said: “This award is a remarkable milestone for Mosswood Care Home, especially as we celebrate our 10 year anniversary this month.
“It underscores our enduring commitment to providing exceptional care and reflects our ethos of prioritising the wellbeing and happiness of our residents above all else.”
She added: “This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff, who tirelessly strive to create a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment for our residents.
“Winning this award fills us with immense pride and gratitude, knowing that it directly impacts the lives of those we care for. As we mark a decade of service, this award serves as a reminder of our ongoing mission to enrich the lives of our residents and their families each and every day.”
There are nearly 17,000 care homes in the UK caring for around half a million people.
Over 12,000 of these care homes support older people aged 65 and over, with around half of these older people paying for their own care.
Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager of carehome. co.uk, said: “We now have over 300,000 reviews of care homes on carehome.co.uk, which means we can give a really good insight into the kind of care offered by care homes all over the UK.
“We would like to congratulate Mosswood on being a top 20 care home as their reviews show they provide an excellent standard of care. It is such an achievement to be recognised by the residents who actually receive the care, as well as family and friends.”
