Golfclubs makethe shortlist foraward
A number of Renfrewshire’s golf courses have made it into the finals of a nationwide hospitality competition.
Cochrane Castle Golf Club in Johnstone, Ralston Golf Club in Paisley, Erskine Golf Club and Ranfurly Castle Golf Club in Bridge of Weir have made the 10-venue shortlist in the best golf club category for the Seventh Scottish Hospitality Awards 2024 by Creative Oceanic.
The other courses to be shortlisted by the awards body are: Lundin Golf Club (Leven, Fife). Bellshill Golf Club in North Lanarkshire, Stirling Golf Club, Mearns Castle Golf Academy (Glasgow), The Nairn Golf Club (Highlands), and Tulliallan Golf Club (Alloa, Clackmannanshire).
A spokesperson for this year’s awards said: “We’re proud to once again showcase the remarkable talent and exceptional standards within Scotland’s vibrant hospitality industry.
“These finalists have consistently demonstrated excellence, innovation and dedication in their respective categories, setting the benchmark for quality and service within the Scottish hospitality industry.

“It is great that the club has been recognised alongside some of our peers as one of the 10 best golf clubs being considered for the prestigious title.”
The winners will be announced in a black-tie ceremony at Glasgow’s DoubleTree by Hilton on Monday, April 22.
