Young team give it welly in 80th year
Big-hearted West Renfrewshire Young Farmers were congratulated on their fabulous fundraising efforts for charity recently.
St Vincent’s Hospice has been the beneficiary of their charitable acts with £7,500 being donated.

tanks and tractor pulls across the year – the organisation’s 80th anniversary – as part of their efforts.
St Vincent’s Hospice community, corporate and events manager Emma Donald said: “We are so grateful for this amazing support, the young farmers are such a fantastic group.
“Vice-chairmen, Linsey Campbell and John Miller from the Young Farmers Club, have been an absolute joy to work with, their energy has been amazing and, thanks to them, we have had the opportunity to be involved with new events and challenges.
“The West Renfrewshire Young Farmers are an amazing group of young people who help other young people learn new skills, make friends and make a difference in their local community.”
Vice-chairman of West Renfrewshire Young Farmers Linsey added: “We decided to raise funds for St Vincent’s Hospice as it is a local charity that is right in the heart of our community.
“We can’t thank everyone enough for helping to make the field day possible.
“To everyone who donated auction prizes; to the Miller family for providing us the venue and to J and S Montgomery for providing us with a tractor for our tractor pull and to everyone who came along to support our 80th year, thank you.”
