Community fund up for grabs
Miller Homes is inviting good causes across Paisley to apply for its community fund initiative, which will see £10,000 allocated to organisations near its housing developments.
Community groups situated near the Miller Homes development at Hawkhead are now being invited to submit an application to win a share of the cash.
The developer particularly wants to hear from projects linked to education, promoting wellbeing, supporting the environment, and encouraging participation in sport.
Since its launch in 2022, the community fund has supported 92 groups in Scotland, equating to £60,000 of funding.
Louise Caldwell, sales director for Miller Homes Scotland West said:“Our community fund initiative provides support at the early stage of starting a local project or groups in need of funding with the opportunity to receive support.
“We urge groups of all backgrounds to get in touch and tell us what they want to achieve through their application form. Our community fund ambassadors will then review the applications to select the projects which will receive an award.”
This is the first round of funding for 2024, with a second round taking place in the latter half of the year. Each of Miller Homes’10 regional offices across the UK has its own £10,000 fund to support community initiatives annually.
Applications for the community fund will close on Wednesday, April 24, with a minimum of £250 and a maximum of £2,000 awarded. Successful applicants will be notified in May.
