R&B nostalgia on Bungalow billing

LnP Promotions are pleased to welcome back Stone Foundation to Paisley’s awardwinni­ng venue The Bungalow tonight.

Gary Kerr of LnP Promotions said: “The last time they came to town it was a highlight for music lovers – they are a fantastic live band.”

The band celebrated an incredible 25 years of success with the release of their retrospect­ive anthology Standing In The Light. Over the years they’ve collaborat­ed with Paul Weller, Hamish Stuart, Dr Robert from the Blow Monkeys and more.

Support is from a special guest, the wonderful John Rush. Tickets on the door from 7pm.

The very popular M65s return to The Bungalow for another amazing afternoon tomorrow of the very best in Mod, Britpop, Ska and Northern Soul. Free entry and doors are 1pm.

Tomorrow night some of Scotland’s finest musicians will come together to perform Hip Hop and R&B greatest hits with an eight-piece band.

Get ready to be treated to a live performanc­e of the top tunes of 90s and 00s in a show like no other. Expect live versions of your favourite tracks from Beyonce, Dre, Kendrick, Eminem, Kanye and loads more. Tickets on the door from 7pm.

Ganked will be playing lively acoustic and electric sets on Sunday with 70s and 80s New Wave, Mod, Ska and Punk classics. Free entry and doors are 1pm.

Singer and jazz guitarist Chris Clark brings his solo tour, As Time Goes By, to The Bungalow on Sunday night.

The theme is The Great American Songbook, although it is not so much a book as a concept bringing together some of the great songs from a particular period in Hollywood and

Broadway history. Tickets on the door from 7pm.

Paint and a Pint Jam Night is back on Tuesday. Art supplies are included for you to use on the night. Starts at 7pm.

On the bill for Thursday’s Introducin­g Night is Rebel Cause, The Kaplans and Papercut Peach. Tickets on the door from 7pm.

Pretty Green, a Tribute to The Jam, are at Venue tonight. They play all the Jam hits as well as album tracks and the lesser played songs.

The band have a very young front man, authentic harmonies, drums and bass.

They say they are the fastest growing Jam tribute to hit the scene. Authentici­ty and attention to detail will bring back nostalgia to any Jam fan.

They will be supported on the night by The All Weller band. Tickets on the door from 7pm.

Cold Flame are currently celebratin­g their 40th anniversar­y this year. They have organised a special Easter tour in the UK showcasing the music of Jethro Tull which includes Venue.

The five-piece band play a special afternoon performanc­e on Sunday. This is a two-hour show packed with classic Jethro Tull music. Tickets on the door from 1pm.

Back in the Day are at The Old Swan tonight from 8pm and tomorrow afternoon Distant Sun will be kicking off at 4pm. Crawford Carlyle will be performing on Monday at 4pm, Lee James will be singing and telling stories on Tuesday and Thursday at 3pm. The Northern Soul Club starts at 4pm on Sunday and Duncan McLellan starts at 4pm on Wednesday.

The Keg has Crossing Giants in tonight from 9pm and tomorrow night, also at 9pm, it is Fire In. Thursday’s Keg Session starts at 9pm for more original artists to play their new material.

Live music as always at The Cave on Saturday at 5pm and 8pm and Sunday at 6pm.

On Sunday Headhunter­s will be at Kennedys from 3pm and, over at The Inn on the Corner, Casper and Co will be on stage from 4.30pm.

Open Mic/Stage sessions next week are: The Abbey at 9pm on Monday, Ugly Duck at 7pm on Monday, The Gantry at 9pm on Tuesday, The Bungalow at 7pm on Tuesday, The Keg at 8.30pm on Wednesday and The Cave from 9pm on Thursday.
