Among those playing are spiritual jazz/soul band Mama Terra; neo-soul,

On Friday, the line-up consists of politically outspoken Rock band, Tijuana Bibles; BRSR, a four piece Alt/ Post-Metal outfit from Glasgow and Paisley; and Saint Sappho, an alternative rock duo based in

Glasgow.

The SAMAs were established in 2010 and present awards in seven categories to the best emerging artists in Scotland.

Previous winners of SAMAs include We Were Promised Jetpacks, Lewis Capaldi, Gerry Cinnamon, Bemz, Colonel Mustard and the Dijon 5, The Snuts, and Paisley’s very own Linzi Clark who won Best Acoustic at the 2022 edition of the awards and played last year at the SAMA Paisley Takeover.

As part of this year’s Takeover, a series of day-time workshops and panel discussions held at UWS Paisley will take place on Thursday from 2pm-4.30pm.
